We just heard that one of our favorite people was honored by the Austin 360 as the #1 country singer in Austin. Someone there knows their country music!

Congratulations Roger!

STUDIO ALBUM
“IF WE EVER MAKE IT HOME”
HITS STORES TODAY

Lead Single “You Had Me At My Best”
Burns Up Chart To #3

NASHVILLE, TENN (September 30, 2008) – Texas troubadour Wade Bowen releases his first studio album in almost three years today with “If We Ever Make It Home,” on Texas-based independent label Sustain Records (distributed by Mercury Nashville).  The lead single “You Had Me At My Best” is already a Top 3 single on the Texas Music Chart and is poised to be his second #1 hit.

Produced by J.R. Rodriguez, If We Ever Make It Home matches Bowen’s strongest set of songs yet with contributions by Randy Rogers, Radney Foster and Jim Beavers, along with guitar stars David Grissom and Jedd Hughes and such Music City A-plus team session players as Tom Bukovac, Kenny Greenburg, Dan Dugmore and Aubrey Haynie.  Guest vocal appearances courtesy of acclaimed singer-songwriters Ashley Monroe on the title cut and Chris Knight on “Daddy and the Devil.”

“I couldn’t be more excited to release this album.  My last album was about soul searching and finding a new direction in my life,” Bowen explains. “This record is about being happy with your life, even within all that’s going on inside and around us. It reflects my hope that there’s a better future for us all and finding a better place, a peaceful place, while the world seems as if it’s going in the other direction. It’s not a record you can listen to once and get everything it’s about.”

Bowen is logging thousands of miles across Texas this week in support of the album’s release with a full schedule of television performances, in-store appearances, radio visits and fan events in Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, Houston and Beaumont.
