Chris Gaffney Tribute CD coming in 2009
Dave Alvin is finishing production on the upcoming Chris Gaffney Tribute CD titled Man of Somebody’s Dreams to be released on Yep Roc.
Featured artists include Dave Alvin, Calexico, Tom Russell, John Doe, Freddie Fender, Los Lobos, James McMurtry, Joe Ely, Robbie Fulks, Alejandro Escovedo and Dave Gonzalez.
Highlights include Boz Skaggs singing “Midnight Dream” and Dan Penn singing “I’m So Proud.”
The CD is scheduled to be out in March of 2009.
