		<description>our local &#039;OPEN MIC&#039; venue strictly enforces the &#039;original music&#039; rule for inclusion in the nights entertainment. That being said, artists who have the right to publically perform a songwriters peice are excluded from performing. Such is the case with my husband, who has followed the laws for ASCAP and BMI, but due to the fear of reprocussions, he still is excluded from performing his music due to the fact he isn&#039;t the songwriter. He can, however record the music and put it out to radio and on digital download services. A bit confusing....</description>
