David Olney, Tommy Womack, Walter Egan, Mark Stuart and others slated to appear

Nashville, TN-

CIA-Nashville President Mark Wehner has announced that “Americana Tonight” will re-emerge during the 8th Annual Americana Music Conference in Nashville, TN. Known for it’s devotion to independent artists in the genres of Roots and Americana music, the show became a must-see event during past Americana conferences. Though AT’s operations were suspended in August of this year, this special evening will again feature Americana Tonight as a premier event during a period laced with “premier events.”

“AT’s history of presenting great shows during the annual conference motivated me to keep that tradition alive,” said Wehner. “Despite the time involved, I felt it was important to bring the show back and offer more artists the chance to showcase their wares during this critical gathering of peers and industry.”

Presented by SESAC and CIA-Nashville, this year’s show takes place on Wednesday October 31st at Douglas Corner Cafe, 2106 Eighth Avenue South, in Nashville. Artists scheduled to appear include veteran songsmith David Olney, the unpredictable Tommy Womack, former Best Emerging Artist nominee Tom Gillam, country star turned Americana star Bob Delevante (backed by local favorites The Coal Men), Lisa O’Kane with Carlton Moody (Burritos) and the legendary Walter Egan. Also slated to appear are Texans Sam Baker, Jason Eady and The Gougers. Ted Russell Kamp is also on the bill, bringing along Californian Wink Keziah and featuring a special appearance by Mark Stuart (Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash.)
